Name the source
No anonymous tips. Every read names where the number came from — the USDA report, the exchange, the buyer's bid — before it asks for a second of your attention. If it can't point to a source, it doesn't get to talk.

A price from Tuesday is not a price from today. Every read wears the time it was pulled, right out front, so you know whether you're looking at fresh ink or last week's news.
Tie it to your dirt
A number floating in space is trivia. A number set against your stored bushels, your contracts, your basis, your records? That's the difference between noise and a read worth reading.
